Opening day of gun season in Ohio, shot a really nice buck at 30 yards. Ruger American 450 22" barrel and handloaded 200 grain FTX bullets over a max charge of Lil Gun. Shot was in the crease right behind the shoulder. No exit wound, buck was DRT.
I hope this year I actually get the time to work up a load that gives a little better penetration, but hard to argue with the results so far. This combo has been extremely accurate, and has accounted for several deer. I'm really liking this rifle.
