Check out my video I made on thanksgiving day 2022. It’s on YouTube under Reeljob01 and the title is Longest muzzle loader harvest on video. The shot was at 1092 yards!! I beat my previous record on video at 865 yards on the same YouTube channel. Hope y’all like it. It’s a little fuzzy but all I had was a cell phone looking through a spotting scope. It’s took a lot of time and practice but I finally got it done!

It takes A LOT of shooting on paper in the same conditions to make a shot like this happen. I can tell you for sure that Tim burns the powder and sends the Aeromax's down range pretty often. Congratulations Tim!

Nice trigger pulling. I have been wondering about Arken optics.

Nice trigger pulling. I have been wondering about Arken optics. Same here on looking at the Arken. I was getting ready to try a Maven RS.4, but at 1/4 the price and similar specs, the Arken looks good, at least on paper.

Nice trigger pulling. I have been wondering about Arken optics. The arken scopes are amazing for the price. I have one on my 10yr Olds 223 precision rifle and had on on a rifle I sold... I had a friend buy one as well after checking it out and looking through mine!

When you consider what 1 click (off) on the dial does to drop at that distance -and the small size of the deer = Amazing shot ! Your loads also have to be single digit deviation. I could add many other factors - long list.
As far as Arken Optics go -I torture tested one for my good friend on a .416 muzzy. Took the muzzle brake off purposely - ended up breaking a scope ring and shearing 2 screws off a scope base. That scope (SH4) is still on a hard kicking muzzy with approx 700 rounds on it. It tracks perfectly. The glass is really clear - but won’t compare to the coatings you’ll get on high price optics-but it’s pretty good and even amazing for 99% of shooters -and for $300 nothing comes close. The Arken EP5 ($450) is an upgrade with Japanese glass and high end coatings that will bridge the gap and come close to the glass of $2000 scopes (my opinion). I really like Sightron glass (Siii glass is amazing for $700) but have been plagued with turret issues (coming loose) when competing and hunting. I’m hard on equipment in run and gun environments- friends of mine that hunt from a blind don’t have my issues) My Sightrons have all been replaced with Arkens (mostly EP5) and so have all of my vortex HD scopes. They are as good as high end Bushnell tactical scopes ( my opinion). Sorry if I offended you guys that are running Sightrons and Vortex. I’ve returned several of them for repairs. I haven’t returned an Arken scope yet……So if your wondering about Arken scopes I really like them.
The SH4 scope he used for the 1092 yard shot is part of the reason he made the shot. He endorses Arken and for good reason. Maybe he can explain why he likes his scope in detail.
Scope aside - Amazing Shot !

Darn good shooting! One shot kill at nearly 1,100 yards. Pretty amazing! And with a SML to top it all off. Congratulations! That takes a lot of dedication.

As far as Arken scopes go, I have had Arken when they came out with the EP-4 (extreme precision) at the beginning and still have it with no issues. Since then I have purchased the SH-4 (shooter/hunter) and love it. You just can’t beat em for price and ruggedness! They track where I dial it and it hits dead on and besides you get a 34 mm tube, first focal plane, zero stop, clear glass, illuminated reticle and lifetime warranty. It is a solid scope!
