With many seasons already open and more to start soon, pay attention when climbing, hunting and descending tree stands. We have many that have spikes. Every tree has a different "lean" or step pattern based on the tree. Always maintain 3 pts of good contact. Always wear a harness or belt. Think about every move you make. One of my friends slipped on a step of a ladder stand and fell about 12 feet and shattered his ankle last week. A ladder stand! The easiest and most consistently spaced steps. He is lucky it wasn't worse. When bringing your gun up or down on a tow rope, UNLOAD IT!
Be safe everyone.

Agreed with CF. It's very noisy to unload the ML, and very easy to make safe by removing the spark plug.

I use to hunt from tree stands that were death traps, I now only hunt from the ground. I can kill just as many doe from the ground as I ever did up in a tree, and when I get cold I can walk 20 yards or so and warm up.
