I've seen a few in photos here... anyone have a good source for a belt carrier for our collapsible ramrods? Nylon or leather?
Thanks!

I wear a hunting fanny pack that holds most of my gadgets. It has a D-ring on it that is just the right size. I slide the funnel to the top of the collapsible ramrod and then collapse it. I slip it in the D-ring and it just hangs from my fanny pack.

I just use my backpack to carry it. After I’m in my stand I put it together and just leave it sticking out the top so I can just grab it when I need it.

What kind of boots do you hunt with? I use the insulated rubber "muck boot" style boot. My 3 piece rod rides in my boots. I use some old rags and wrap it kinda inside the rags. Then it gets stuck down in my boot. The rags do two things. Keep it from sliding further down in the boot, and keep it from klinking around while I am walking. The rags are also handy sometimes during reloading. If my rod gets wet or dirty I just find a dry spot on the rag and wipe it down. I am pretty particular about anything dirty going down the bore of my rifle.

Miles Tactical ASP Molle Baton Holder Pouch fits Expandable Batons and Flashlights a.co/d/cRhn0IWHere’s the link for a tactical flashlight holder that works really when it’s attached to a butler creek sling. The Molle straps easily attach and can be removed off the sling and onto day packs /Fanny packs/ tactical belts and the list goes on and on. It’s $20 plus a piece of 8” Velcro added and your good to go. I attach this to any of my muzzleloaders. You will see the collapsible ramrod , funnel and a nut driver for direct ignition. This works really well inside a backpack that has an internal scabbard like a gun runner pack for example. It might not be what your looking for but as you’ve seen - not a lot of options out there besides the arrowhead rod holder and also look at the cva paramount rod holders as another option.

Thanks! That is exactly what I am looking for! I've done the fanny pack for a few years and even the boot tuck. Glad to see a few options out there... and even the sling one!

CVA makes a holder that I use but it I wish it was a little deeper. That tactical baton holder above looks like it might be a bit better overall.

CVA makes a holder that I use but it I wish it was a little deeper. That tactical baton holder above looks like it might be a bit better overall. I wish the baton holder was deeper. Refer to the pic and zoom in. I’m using an 8” piece of Velcro about 3” above it (that’s attached to the butler creek sling) to keep things from moving/falling out. But I’m also carrying a nut driver for direct with it. If you are only using it for a collapsible ramrod - you could put the heavy side down the pouch first and cinch up the Velcro strap to the rods where they meet (on the existing baton holder) and it should work without the use of another strap. It will stick out some. My collapsible is on the long side (made for a 30” barrel and a 3.5” muzzle break) so if your barrel and ramrod are shorter it will be an easier fit. I like a redundancy plan so I added another Velcro. Hunted one season without the extra Velcro with no issues and then it fell out (both pieces) one day because I forgot to tighten the one that’s on the existing pouch. If it doesn’t work for you (it should) than I’m sure you will find a fun use for it on something else. Let me know how it works

Spinjag offers a heavy duty 7075 aluminum 3 piece ram rod with oversize steel hardened threads . This is a Really Stout rod !!! They also have nylon pouches for them . I wear mine like Dennis does on a laynard along with my possibles bag . Out of the way , easy viewing , and dry . Assembled while sitting within arms reach . The pouch quality is good and its design prevents rattles . Can be worn on a belt as well .

The ram rod and pouch that came with a cva accura mrx is really nice. Carbon fiber ram rod. The pouch also holds a nut driver. I wish I could order that set up for a spare.
