So within last couple couple months I inherited 2 smokeless Hankins converted muzzleloaders. I have messed with a few muzzleloaders in the past, but nothing smokeless in muzzleloaders. Any info would help. I’ve believe I found the powder and bullets, just don’t know how much powder to used. Powder is IMR 4198 And bullets are Pittman accumax .452 275 grain

Lots of people here are more than willing to help, but you’ll need to post some more information on what you have as far as barrel shank size, length of the shank and what plug/modules you have in. The more information you have the better info you get.

As buckeye68 says you'll need more details and over charging can be dangerous.
That said, I have a Hankins build on a TC Encore pro hunter break action. I've been using 65 grains of 4198 with those same Pittman bullets you have.

I believe recommended load for 275 Accumax is 65 grains IMR4198 in an Encore barrel. That is a very accurate load. IMO

All these posts are pertinent to getting started in the right direction. One piece of equipment you will want to search out is the bullet sizing die. This is pivotal to getting great accuracy out of your new acquisition. There are numerous members who can give you advice on getting proper bullet to bore fit.

If projectiles were kept separate it is likely due to sizing and keep them separated.
