I’m looking to work up a good shooting light load for my wife and kids. I’m setting this gun up just for them. Jeff built a 24” #17 contour Brux. His ignition system and standard shank.
I have 275gn ASG NSRs and IMR 4198. Im looking to get an easy shooting 2600-2800. It’s my wife’s gun for now until the kids get older so it doesn’t have to be super light as she can shoot my full load out of my heavier gun. I’ve got some loads of 70-73gn ready to shoot next time I go to the range just wondering if there are any other suggestions. Thanks

55 grains should work, work up from there if it's still comfortable. I would think it will be pressure starved If you go much below 55.

65 grains put me at 2625 with a 275 gr aeromax. This is in a Cva conversion but shouldn’t be to far off. It wasn’t really light shooting in my Cva but a heavier gun should help.

I've been shooting 65 grains of 4198 with 275 grain Pittman. I'm shooting an Encore frame so that is about the max for me.

Hello, everyone I have a Knight KP-1 that Hank converted for me with his ignition system as well. It shoots 59 grs IMR4198 average 25789FPS less than 1" MOA. My 2 cents
