I found a marlin 375winchester for sale locally and it followed me home, I’m planning on using it for Ohio deer season. I’m interested in peoples experience/preformance with the Sierra 200gr bullets and any good load data with a micro groove barrel. Thanks
Andy

I don't have any personal experience with the .375 Win but a friend has several of them for the Ohio gun season. If I can track him down in the near future I'll ask him about his experience with handloads.
Sounds like a great find. Nice Marlins are getting scarce.

Brass can be had from eabco but it will probably not have proper headstamp. They make them from other brass.

I have about 50 PCs of brass, I normally like to have more but I’m not really ready to sell my soul to get more, I’ll find components, just will take time. I’m also not against Fireforming 30-30

It was a great find, I think I’ll always been able to get my original investment out of it. So far I really like how it handles. My only problem with it is tough to find components, but I have plenty of other guns to hunt with.

Before the legalization of straight-walled cartridges, I had a .357 maximum chamber cut on a .358 bore contender barrel, with the understanding that it would be a long distance handgun (Ohio being lenient with no maximum length for handgun barrels). After the regulation changes, it got a stock in place of the pistol grip. If but for that, I would have really looked hard into the 375 win and the .405. Would really like to see some modern bullet development for the .405. As it is, the .375 has a plethora of bullets. A good friend worked up a wildcat from the 9.3x74R casing to 375 for the purpose. He's lamented that the Sierra's are explosive upon impact, to the point of excessive meat damage. With velocities in the .375 win range, they should be about ideal. I'm sure brass is a issue, but it should be a first rate deer gun.

I don't have a 375 Win, but I have a 38-55. I shoot Volmer 220 grain bullets which should work very well in the 375. You can use 38-55 brass for the 375. The 375 is shorter so just trim to length. Starline has brass.
