Sound like a good plan Mark. I guess our pistol weight limit should be about 12 pounds lol

Shindigl.............Hope you have fun with that cannon! I'm no stranger to long range high power pistols. Besides the four shown below, I also had a Taurus .454 Raging bull. Al the3se guns are a hand full. By the way, starting at the top is a XP-100 I chambered in .223 Ackley, then my favorite, a 6mmBR XP-100, then a another XP-110 in 7/08 in a center grip stock and at the bottom is a Contender in 7.62x39. The Contender took my first antelope at 220 yards, a mule deer at 150 and the 7/08 another antelope at 156 yards. The other two were used for ground hogs and prairie dogs. The Raging Bull got me a pig! The problem with these pistols is being able to hold them tight but not too tight! Both the 6mm and .223 have either Jewel or Shilen 2 oz triggers. They have to be shot from a solid rest or bipod. I use a sock filled with tumbling media under the rear pistol grip and squeeze for elevation. The thing is, if you putt too much grip, the crosshairs (both 24X) want to move. If you hold real light, then you have to contend with the gun jumping back in your face. The 7/08 and Contender have long eye relief scopes so not so critical but if your looking for Kentucky Challenge accuracy, you need magnification. Either of the two rear grip pistols could easily be converted to SML but with the recoil factor, I would not do it? That pistol of yours will be a handful! Good luck! Richard

Very nice indeed Toby. Should be a lot of fun and a great conversation piece. Just curious, how long is the barrel and which powders are ya thinking? Also, can u use it for deer hunting in ur state ? If so that should be a blast. Pun intended ๐

If so that should be a blast. Pun intended ๐ The barrel is 17โ. Going to try 65 gr of IMR 4198 and I have some 253 Accumax and it is legal to use on deer here in Indiana. I have to get a forearm made for it. The forearm in the picture only has 1 screw holding it because it is for a pistol. I have to get a shotgun forearm made.

Wow ! Iโll bet it will be a handful. I like the way u think though. I think most of the guys here on this forum think outta the box so to speak. Good luck, have fun , be safe & by all means let us know how it performs on the whitetails.

I would think something like a 195 Barnes or maybe a 200 gr. SST in a blue harvester sabot with maybe 45 to 50 gr. of N-110 would be more "user friendly!" The short barrel wants a fast powder but the fast powder cannot handle the heavier bullets! A good little bullet you might play with is the Hornady .45 230 HAP (Hornady Action Pistol) I have shot many of them out of my Brux with little, if any, sizing....no wad.
