Can a Bergara short action be used to bulid a bolt gun off of ?

To start with some here know more than myself, but IMO it can be, its a clone Remington 700, the only issue maybe, maybe not is the side bolt release, will that stop the bolt far in the port for the primer installation, which it will not just checked on an 7mm08, but it could be modified, with the set screw or the bolt stop at arrowhead,

I have not removed a barrel from a Bergara action, but I would think it is metric thread.

I barreled a Bergara action for a customer in TX last summer the threads were 1.0625 x 16 tpi this one had a floating bolt head that I really didn't care for because the retaining pin kept sliding out but he says it shoots good I believe it was made in GA I don’t know where he got the action but it was brand new

I barreled a Bergara action for a customer in TX last summer the threads were 1.0625 x 16 tpi this one had a floating bolt head that I really didn't care for because the retaining pin kept sliding out but he says it shoots good I believe it was made in GA I don’t know where he got the action but it was brand new i sent him to you . I think he has more SMLs than all of us put together lol !!! Great guy !!! Incidentally he loved your work too . Ty . If you knew him like i do thats a tremendous compliment and endorsement . That rifle will compete in a couple years upon retirement . He is Very Very Capable . It shoots a Hole with 325s + .
