Anyone here shooting anything something other than .22LR? Although I have three operable .22LR RF's (and two that are not), there is also a Marlin 17vs and a CZ455 in .22mag.
I have never shot for competition. These rifles get used for a little fun plinkin' and to draw blood. IIRC, I got the 17vs in the late 90's and sighted in at 75yds. It got two three shot groups 1/4" and 3/8" and has since been responsible for literally hundreds of starlings and English sparrows, along with a few marauding raccoons.
The CZ is one picky little rifle in that it shoots shotgun patterns with anything but the 30gr Hornadys and the 50gr Federals. It's just plain weird that it is accurate with both of these! It has taken mainly coons.
Correction: I got the Marlin in 2003. The 17hmr wasn't even invented until 2002. Sorry for the misinformation.

I just acquired a Win.255 22mag my wife bought me 6 used guns and cabinet for Christmas. I haven't shot it yet but I don't believe it will produce any impressive groups as the trigger system is crappy probably around 6-7lb pull. I will be ml hunting Mon. and Tues. then may get out and shoot it and other guns a bit.

Bought this one in 2014 from Cabela's. It was a Cabela's exclusive edition. An Anschutz 17HMR with the 5098 trigger, factory installed. Normally you would not see this particular model with that trigger. It shoots excellent. I shot it at 235 yards one day. 3 shots measuring 2.15 inches. It has killed a few groundhogs at 150 out to almost 180 yards. It is my go to small critter rifle. I much appreciate the lower ricochet factor as compared to the 22LR.

That is one handsome Vortex scoped rifle.
With a group like that, it surely was a very calm day!
I did experience one pencil through with the little 17gr V-max pill on a starling. The exit hole was only slightly larger than the entrance hole. Normally, I could get 2-3 starlings that were sitting on the rims of feed pans because the bullets are soooo frangible.
