Took another big doe this morning with the new 7-08 Encore rifle barrel. Such a great cartridge, fast, accurate, low recoil, very efficient and versatile in what feeds it. Definately a plus in todays component crisis times. She came out of the thicket and stopped at 50yds. Took her just below the head. Look how jacked up her neck got!!!
A little later, a spike walked into the thicket, and a few minutes later it came out as a nice 8pt. I told that to my boy Luke and he said "how did it do that?" LMAO. My buck tag is already punched, so he will live for another time.
