ANYTIME I make changes or adjustments to screws that hold the action I will not hunt with the gun until the zero has been verified. Yes anytime. Which has meant, on more than one occasion, I have set up a target at 9 or 10:00 at night with a spotlight on it. Because I was going out the next morning to hunt. I will not risk wounding and losing an animal because of the zero being off.

Presuming your scope or sighting device is attached to the barrel, the amount of impact would probably be less than my ability to shot. If you are competition target shooting, I'd follow the advise in the post above and get to the range. For hunting purposes, as long as your scope was not bumped in the process, you should be good for hunting.
