I took out Wild Bill 40 cal again today for another cold bore shot and 2nd follow up shot to check and see if my test session from 13 days ago was still correct and on target. Just after I hung on target at 200 yards the havens open up and it poured down the rain. I know during Ohio’s hunting season the weather can be from 0 to 70 degrees and from rain, sleet or pouring down snow. Today was the perfect day for another hunting test session. Just after I got the gun loaded and on the bench another club member pulled in and I had to wait for him to unload, spotting scope setup and hearing protection in. Now that I have a spotter , I finally got the first shot off. I cut the top edge of the orange dot. And then the 99 questions started about the smokeless muzzleloading world. After a 20 minute conversation I finally got the gun loaded and back on the bench. With him being so interested and wanting to see where my second shot was going to hit, I thought I would just ask him if he wanted to shoot it. He couldn’t resist and he shot my second follow up shot. Needless to say he was quite impressed with almost touching my first shot. This was about as close to a real world hunting situation as I could get at the range with the rain, the time between loading the gun and another person shooting. I would say Wild Bill is ready for another hunting season. Here’s a picture of my target with both shots.

Nice! Very cool, and a great test for deer season! Glad to see someone is getting some trigger time. LOL

I would say the Deer should beware of “Wild Bill”
