When i was in high school we had Anschutz side lever air rifles. Its been so long ago i have no idea what model. A few years ago, a friend bought a RWS side lever. Love the rifle but it was a bit heavy. I think it was a Diana RWS model 54 but not really sure.
Im still thinking about getting one of the RWS side levers just for fun.

You got the model right. I also have a Beeman HW97 underlever in .17 that is also very accurate. But, they are in a different league than the PCP's. The "springers" have that noticeable jolt when fired and can cause havoc on scopes not specifically designed for them. With the PCP's there is no recoil and any old scope will work. Most of these PCP's also have small magazines that hold around 8 pellets which make it nice for hunting. You can carry multiple magazines rather than fumbling around for a pellet.
