Well Saturday was a real challenge at 1000 yards very windy and a ton of big groups and very low scores with some shooters not able to keep 10 on the record target. We had are group shoot off winner win the match with a 7 inch group and a zero score for 10 shots his group ended up in the top left hand corner of the target that's how quick things can change at 1000 yards.
So conditions didn't change much for the 600 yard match. I won the match with a 4.190 10 shot group there where 3 other shooters that stayed under 5 inches and the rest struggled to stay on the 600 yard target. I did get to test one morning and it looked like conditions were pretty darn good but I couldn't get the 107SMK shoot small enough for 10 shots so I went back to using the Lapua short neck case and 103gr Vapor Trail bullets this is the same load I use in my other Dashers and it will shoot small at 1K in the right conditions. Also the 105gr JLK will shoot just as well.
The rifle is chambered for the long neck Norma Dasher case and as I reported before it just will not shoot as small as the short neck Lapua version will strange but that's how it is and also I believe Norma stopped making the 6mm Norma brass for now so there is no sense staying with it. Peterson and Alpha make 6mm dasher brass but it is still not as strong as Lapua. I wish Lapua would get serious and make Daher brass life would be simpler.
