I have been slowly building an AR with a Daniel Defense DDM4-V7 upper. This rifle will be chambered in 5.56 with a 1-7 twist. Its trigger time and I don't know whats the best bang for the buck? Kinda set on TriggerTech diamond but I know that Timney, Giussele build good triggers also. Cant say that Im fond of 2 stage triggers but if thats whats available so be it. Not really an AR guy but no hair sniffer is gonna tell me I can't have one! Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys.

I first bought an Adaptable and liked it a lot. Put a Diamond in a 6.5 Creedmoor and will be using Diamonds from now on. Gotten to try a few others at the range. I do like the 2 stage. Of the people that have let shoot the Triggertech the only complaint I have heard is that some people prefer a single stage. If you don’t like 2 stage triggers I probably wouldn’t recommend the TriggerTech but they are by far my favorite. I like the Hyperfire for a single stage but got surprised by not pulling trigger and keeping it to the rear. The AR-10 series dose have a harder hammer strike.

I've had several triggers worked over by a guy in Colorado who does a really good job at turning the mil-spec stuff into really good triggers. Single stage, very crisp, light break.
Haven't played with drop-ins yet, but there are some good ones to be had. You should be able to find a decent single stage drop-in without too much issue (Timney, Rise Armament, etc). Don't know if you have a specific pull weight in mind, but there are options. LOL

CMMG has a single stage 2 1/2 lb trigger that I like very much and it's not too expensive, don't remember what I paid but not bad, I also have several Geissele and they are great but are 2 stage and pricey

Just had an AR10 built with Aero Precision parts. A magpul PRS . And a custom 22” Shaw barrwlTriggerTech Diamond single stage adjustable from 2.5 to 4.5 lbs. This is a .243. Then bought another for my heavy barrel varmint AR 15 same trigger . Crazy smooth. Zero creep or over travel. And as soon as they get the AR10 trigger available in single stage it will co in the AR10. And that diamond will go in my AR15 elite operator. Yeah I really like them . Personally I dislike two stage trigger’s. I wish they were available of Savage guns Good luck and shoot safe Drop
