I've been working in Harrisonburg, Va this week and went to lunch and decided to stopped and filled up the car. Good thing I did because after I got off work I noticed 5 of the gas stations I passed had red bags over the nozzles. Only one station had gas and about 15 cars was in line. Everyone was just filling up their cars and trucks. No body was filling up gas cans.
Anybody else having issues with no gas at the pumps?

That's all I caught. Our gas in NW Indiane is up a dollar since sleepy Joe took the reigns.

All due to 'puter hacking the main pipe line serving the east coast. The hackers are demanding a ransom. Sleepy Joe actually suggested the company pay the hackers off and get the gas flowing again. Think of the can of worms that would create! Encourage others to do the same! His administration has been more interested in monitoring us Trump supporters than catching actual crooks!

It’s very sad what this county has turned into. I wonder how many people wishes Trump was still our president. I know I sure do.

My little town is out of gas this afternoon, completely out, went down the road 10 miles and one station had 93 pure gas so I filled up the Skeeter and the truck. Pain in the butt to have to search for fuel

Ever since I bought a big gas generator for power outages, I have had fuel on hand. Quite a bit. Every year I rotate it out and restock. Even in the amounts I stock, I know that it's only short term for the vehicles and the generator. Used sparingly for both, I keep a months worth on hand. Ethynol free and treated. I know my mileage to work for myself and the wife and I figure 4-8 hrs a day for home electric generation. These bumps in the road are easy to handle for temporary issues. For a long term problem we are mostly all F'ed. This country is slowly getting there. F'ed.

I live fairly close to St. Louis and have heard earlier on that some stations had run out but mostly due to panic buying. For the most part business as usual . If you need fuel you just take it in the rear and pay the price . People in this country panic over everything anymore , it makes me sick to see what some of the people in this country have become. Lazy and spineless. If most of them had to survive on there own with the bare necessities they and there families would starve or be killed trying to take from the ones that have the ability. Not really surprising though as this country has turned its back on God , integrity, character, and the sense of what is truly important! Rant over

This country, along with several very successful corporations, have increased efficiency and profits by being "just in time" in term of inventory, raw materials and other supplies. As good as it sounds on paper and in text books, there is nothing like having a stockpile of whatever. Food, gas, water, meds, etc. Our food and energy supply is basically operating that way. Just in time. So when a shortage occurs and you have 330 million people seeing it in real time, SHTF quick. The past decade, after enduring a few ammo and reloading supply shortages, I have focused on buying things ahead, when there are no problems and prices are fair. I live in a plain looking house. It's small. It needs a little work too. If you pulled up you would never think we have much. We are not extremely social, have little or no social media profile (Hank's would probably be my only one). No one knows what we have or don't have. We are the little brown house tucked in off the main road that looks like it needs a little TLC.
Trust me, these "issues" will continue. Grid hacks, energy hacks, food shortages and other quickly developing $hit storms. And today they are QUICK, like overnight. When you are living "just in time" you will be socked by these events and you will do what the masses do. Fill all your gas tanks, buy gas tanks, wait for the Walmart people to put ammo out at 7:00 am, waiting in line for stuff, etc, etc. I say don't be that person. Keep your cupboards and freezers full, keep your vehicles and gasoline consuming machines topped off. Keep your stockpiles full as a hobby. Use first in first out inventory strategies. DO these things in the good, normal times. Once you are THERE and you are semi-insulated, live a normal life. BUT, get there first!. Nothing I do, or say we should all do, will guarentee long term survival. It will make the short term issues seem irrevelant though. You will be able to eat, drive, stay warm and keep the lights on for a month or so until the situation returns to normalacy. You won't be gouged. You will be able to help a few friends or neighbors if you so decide.
Be low profile about what you have. You brag about being prepared and you will be the first place people come when desparate. Ok this is getting kinda sad to even think about it, but I do ALL the time and especially lately.
Keep your powder dry. Peace.

To add to what I said. Imagine the big cities and highrises. What the heck can you even do to be prepared??? You live in a small apartment on the 35th floor and have no space to store anything of value. You are surrounded by others in the same boat. You need an elevator to just "get home" or take the stairs. Soooo many people live this way and it is no wonder they rely and expect the gov't to be there for them. That's what many of us here are up against. The frail majority of our population that is 100% vulnerable to chaos. I am glad I live out in the sticks and am glad that I am somewhat prepared. To no fault of there own, many are not capable of it. Fragile, just-in-time world we live in.
Think about things. Be ready as you can to ride out the bumps. I have a feeling, with this group on this forum, I am only preaching to the chior.

I ran through 4 States friday n Sat. Mo./Ar./Tn./Ms. Came back through them, no gas shortage. They had upped the price from $2.45 to $2.75 per gal. Yes i wanted Trump to stay n voted that way. This bunch of Liberals have voted in these Village Idiots in office. Most of these Liberals are getting every free thing the Fed's can give them every month n they did not want Trump in office. He was fixing to clean house on all the free benefits they have gotten for years
