What’s happening to the primers along with everything else? Even if hoarders are packing them away that still doesn’t account for the shortage. These companies are making more than they’ve ever made, think about it! A friend of mine that is a short and long range benchrest shooter talked to a friend of his yesterday and he’s a short range benchrest shooter. This guy lives in Maine and is 30 minutes from Canada border. He has friends in Canada that shoot benchrest with him and his buddies are saying there is no shortage in Canada, you can get anything you want and they’re still around $3.99/100. You do the math??? I think US government agencies are buying the stuff up by the truck loads and parking it in warehouses somewhere. I think this is what happened before when this stuff was so hard to get. With the mess that has happened in our government in the past year I don’t put anything past them. These scum sucking liberal idiots are doing this to create turmoil and doing a good job of it. The bottom line is YOU the tax paying AMERICAN citizen are paying for this stuff and never receiving it!!! Just something to think about.

I was reading (and for the most part, believing) such conspiracy theories during the Obummer years. I've also read about present shortages in Canada, so it probably depends on the area. The present shortages didn't begin when Bite-me and Spread Eagle got "voted" into office. There were 7,000,000 NEW gun owners in all of 2020. The buying frenzy began when the ChiCom Flu hit and heightened because of the following rioting. If the new gun owners each bought just 100 rounds of ammo, there would be a total of 700,000,000 rounds IN ADDITION to all previous owners who were then buying up more and more rounds because of their own paranoia. Totals would get into the 10's, if not 100's of billions of additional rounds ordered in which manufacturers are not equipped to fill. Then there's the "quick buck" crowd that buys up all available ammo only to list it on web sites at outrageous prices with desperate people actually buying the ammo. Along with hoarding, this makes a sizable dent in the availability, much like TP in 2020. We cannot expect ammunition manufacturers to sell primers intended for ammo any more than we would expect an auto manufacturer to sell spark plugs intended for vehicles, leaving the prime reason for said manufacture useless. Please read the following article which provides truthful explanations: www.gunsandammo.com/editorial/2020-ammo-shortage/387068

I’m not saying there’s a conspiracy but something stinks. I don’t trust the videos of the manufacturers telling us they’re producing more ammo than ever before and I certainly don’t trust our government officials that want to stamp out our second amendment rights. The left are crafty and crooked as a fish hook. Don’t underestimate them. Without components for our firearms they are as useless as bean sticks.
