Damn sad today. The best ever at explaining things. Hard to replace. Will miss the hell out of him. We all owe him so much.

"Talent on loan from God"
Sadly, the loan has been recalled. For years, he was a part of my daily life.

I have been thinking of what Rush would want everyone who loved him to do now that he is gone. No-one lives forever and although this day came too soon, it would have come one day. Just like it will come for all of us, everyone before us, and everyone after us. I bet he would say to carry the torch and carry on with the wisdom he has shed on everyone. Smile when remembering him. Grieve but don't lose focus on your life. He was so inspirational and would expect people to move on. There is a void here in everyone's life but he would want that void to eventually fill in and have us all be as strong and stronger then we were before. That is the way I intend to look at this. Been a hard few days thinking about everything he has meant to me. Like graduating school and remembering/appreciating a great teacher who affected your life and development. Go out in the world and use your education and hone your skills without the teacher. That would be the greatest respect you could pay. Don't mean to ramble here but the bottom line is we are all better people having had the privlige of his presence all these years.

"Talent on loan from God" Sadly, the loan has been recalled. For years, he was a part of my daily life. Lots of fun names, great quotes and words to remember. The Doctor of democracy, the Mayor of Realville, and my favorite one, the Maha Rushie! I listen on the way in to work, 2nd shift now for 24yrs now. Got him on everyday. Will be sadly missed. I hope the show continues on with guest hosts as it's been off and on for awhile.

Came across a site yesterday which had a hidden poll at the end of an article honoring Rush. It was asking one's preference of who to take over the golden EIB microphone. Once you voted, it showed the polling preference. I voted for Mark Steyn and when the poll was revealed, he was far ahead of all others with 59%.
He would never replace Rush, but I always enjoyed his English/Canadian conservative wit and humor.

Rush was a "man without equal" in his field of expertise and will be sorely missed.
I do like listening to Mark Steyn, he has a quick wit and can cut to the heart of things humorously.

I heard something yesterday that Mark Steyn would be the primary host in the immediate future. Trying to recall the source. RIP Rush
