I have 20 pieces of Hornady brass and the primer pockets are SOOOOME tight! I had to use cartridge chamfer tool and clean primer pockets again and they still went in hard. They were not military cartridges so no crimp. Is this normal with Hornady? My Federal 210's and Lapua brass are like peas and carrots no issues.

A lot of my 350 Legend brass is same way. I just run it thru the crimp remover and uniformer.

Haven’t used any Hornady brass in a long time because it’s not very well liked in the reloading world.
That said , with components so hard to find right now u should be able to cut the primer pockets to size.
Pick u up a primer pocket uniforming tool and u should be able to cut the pockets to size ( diameter & depth ) and clean all the carbon out from the fired primers.
U can pick them up that will chuck up in a drill for a few bucks. Easy peasy! Hope this helps. Good luck

Coworker brought in some once fired Factory .30-06 & 7mm Rem Mag Hornady Cases that were unusable because the primer pockets were so Loose? The Primer Pocket Uniformer on the Lyman Case Prep Station has worked well for me. Sinclair Hand Held one works well also.
