Any ideas on cheap pistol or other bullets to shoot from our SML? Looking to save some pennys and still punch holes in paper or cans or buckets of water or frogs, maybe a crow or two.

I've used the Hornady 250ftx and 300sst with pretty good success.

If you can get your hands on the Sierra flat nose 300 gr. "Pistol smith" bullet? It has shot equally as well as the XTP's for me. I will be doing some more testing of them in the new Brux in the future. Richard

Thanks guys. I do have some FTXs and that is what my buddys shoot when they want to give the SML a try.

Pick up a box of Speer 230 grain gold dot pistol bullets.. They will shoot about an inch at 100 yards... If I can remember ill bring a box to the shoot..

Along the same lines as Hank...........GEt your hands on Hornady 230 gr. Action Pistol bullets (HAP). These have also shot really well for me. Richard
