I realize this is a big time newbie question, but here it goes. I know that most everyone uses some type of plastic or metal (brass or aluminum) tubes to carry their extra powder charges, but how do you guys carry your extra primer modules and bullets for hunting? Looking for best practices here. I am not so much concerned with speed of a reload as I am keeping the bullets and primer modules clean and debris free. Thanks for your help guys!

You might carry two tubes.....one for the powder and the other for the bullet and module.............taped together (opposite ends exposed)

Here is what I use when I go hunting. I use BH209 tubes for bullets and Modules. I will be trying out TC quick load tubes on my Bestill Omega this year.

I use 1/2" cpvc pipe with a 50cal sabot stuffed inside for a divider and paint the powder side cap black and have my bullet in the other end nose first with a wad on top, DI modules loose all carried in my inside left side breast pocket of my hunting coat. I don't worry about follow-ups with these sml's.

I use a bullet boxes. Like from a 100 count box of sierra bullets. 30 cal 6.5 mm etc. Two plastic tubes fit nicely in there. As do 6 sized bullets and 7 primed modules. I also take the time to put padding on the inside of the box. That way they make no noise at all. I carry 6 extra loads this way. With 4 plastic powder tubes placed in the shotshell loops on my orange vest and two in a bullet box. The bullet box is compact enough to stow away in a pocket nicely. I carry one more module than I do powder and bullet. In case I compromise a module by dropping it during a hasty reload.

3 powder changes in tubes, I put 3 bullets separately in smaller twist on cap tubes, and 4-5 priming modules in another tube. I shoot Pittman accumax and I’m paranoid about damaging a tip so it put each bullet in a tube all it’s own. Load through funnel and bullet started and it all goes in a small pouch I put in my pack. Collapsible ramrod and I’m set.

Some great ideas here, thanks for your help everyone. What I’ve learned on this board in a few months would’ve taken years to figure out by trial and error.

I use 45 mag.cva speed loaders(yellow).Snap one end shut and pour in one weighted charge. Find a wood dowel that fits tight and cut a piece about 5/8" and slid in to powder charge.fasten with a couple small braids. bullet and module will fit in other end. I carry 2 or 3 on a lanyard around my neck.If needed, I dont have to search in pockets for load.

I use an elastic ammo sleeve , place vials into holder. Usually 3 powder charges and one with 3 bullets and veggie wads and one with primers. The pic shows 3 duplex loads .

Thanks for all the ideas. I wound up putting the bullets tip down in 5ml tubes with a piece of tool box liner in the bottom to protect the tips, and I stacked 4 primer modules (staggered them so they were primer to primer) in another 5ml tube. Worked great.
