Has anyone shot the Hornady mono flex ML I have been shooting the hornady FTX 250 . They shoot great . That bullet scares me some . Shooting a 700 Remington HIS ignition 65grs of H4198 with Wool wads . I am afraid that bullet will grenade . Especially inside 100 . What do y’all think ? I would like to say that this is my first post . I have been shooting and reading yalls post for a couple years . Thanks for all the help you guys probably don’t realize sometimes how helpful this board is . www.midwayusa.com/product/1002233460

you can switch to the bonded shockwave and have the best of both worlds.

I shot the Monoflex 250gr .458 in my 458 Socom last year and didn’t loose a petal and broke some heavy bones at short ranges. I don’t think you will have any problems with the Monoflex you linked. The FTX I believe is a lead core bullet that probably shouldn’t be shot into heavy bone. Are you shooting whitetail or something larger?

3 shot group at 100 yards with the .458 250 grain Monoflex, tip removed, annealed then Full Form sized, veggie wad 3 shot group at 100 yards with the .452 250 grain Monoflex, knurled, Full Formed, veggie wad, first shot in the bull on a cold, swabbed barrel, next two into the same hole. These were not annealed so I could leave the tip on. They were a bear to FF size and I needed to use a cheater bar with my press. The listed b.c. On Midway’s website is wrong, it should be .210 not .155

I here only good things about how the MonoFlex performs. Several buddy's of mine use them. They say performance on bone is outstanding and they expand well when bone is not encountered. They shoot them with BH209 at about 100gr volume.
