I got my new SML about a month ago and finally got to shoot it this past weekend (picture of my sight in target at 100 yards is attached). It is a .45 caliber Model 700 SA with a #17 Brux 26" plus brake, topped with a Leupold VX-5HD, using one of Jeff's new Model 700 20MOA rails. The rifle was built by J.R. Shultz using Jeff's H.I.S. I couldn't be more pleased with the results. The rifle shoots awesome, although even at 13.5 pounds with the scope, the recoil is stiff. I shoot 105 grains of H4895 and Pittman 325 Aeromaxes. This load is safe in this rifle, but may not be safe in your rifle, use caution. I have learned a great deal from reading past threads on vario us subjects and I especially want to thank Jeff, Kyle and Hillbill for their help. I hope to be shooting at 200, 300 and 400 yards this weekend and I will post more pictures. Attachments:

One hundred yards is a good initial indicator of accuracy BigMoney...........however, once you start stretching out the distance it starts more becoming about the trigger pulling and the "conditions!" Good luck with the new rifle, the potential is definitely there!

Good luck with the new rifle, the potential is definitely there! I had it built as a hunting rifle. I was pleasantly surprised it shot that well. If it will shoot 1 MOA at 400, I should be able to make the critters nervous.

Looks as though both the shooter and gun can put them in there. Good shooting

That load is not for sissy's for sure but it's a great hunting or target load and Buckey folds in submission when it goes off.
Post up some targets at longer distances, if you can hold it the gun is capable of half minute or better at long range.
