Just curious if any of u guys are using this Cuddyback ( Cuddelink) camera system? If so, what kind of results are u getting? What are the pros and cons in ur opinion?
I just recently purchased a few of these cameras and put them out but I didn’t purchase the camera to send pictures to my email. If they link together and send pics to the designated home camera then I’ll purchase the data plan and necessary equipment to transmit the pics to my email.
My hunting ground is 500-700 miles from where i live so I’m just looking for ways to stay on top of what’s going on there without actually being there.
I do run several Covert cameras there with good results but the cell phone service is not good enough to hang cameras everywhere I want to put one.
Any input will be much appreciated. Thanks

We run a bunch in Iowa- I live in NJ. Very convenient -sent to my email every 30 pics. Not a fan of the IR flash-pics are sometimes blurry. Found that had to add a camera(s) as a relay to transmit to base (located on a high spot) when cameras were in low spots and line-of-sight to base (or a route from camera to camera to the base) not possible. We purchased the D-battery packs since not visiting them as much. All in all acceptable for a remote operation.

It’s been over a year since I first posted about the cuddilinks. Since then I have purchased several more. I’m very happy with them. I’m now running two systems with good results. I bought the G cameras with the strobe flash. Night time pics are excellent and I’ve never thought that the flash scares the deer. I use solar panels because sometimes it’s months before I return to the cameras after I’ve put them up. I am interested in what kind of battery life ur getting with the extra D battery power supply. I’ll post a few nighttime pictures taken recently with the cuddebacks.

I have been running solar panels and like them so far. If they work threw our winters I’ll be impressed.

I have been running solar panels and like them so far. If they work threwag our winters I’ll be impressed. I’ve had good luck with solar panels in the midwest. They tend to keep the batteries charged better after the leaves fall than they do through the summer months imo. I pulled all my Cuddebacks last winter about Christmas time but I usually leave some Covert cameras up through turkey season. They usually run from late July until late May with no problems. Picture quality on the Coverts are just not as good as the Cuddebacks.

I kinda enjoy leaving them out year round. If they last in MN year round more will be going up.

I bet it gets pretty cold there. I go to church with a family that moved to TN from the north east corner of ND. He said it got so cold there once the engine oil froze in his truck. He also said he could stand in ND, shoot a duck in MN and it could fall in Manitoba. Don’t know why I remembered that. Let us know if the panels keep ur batteries charged through those cold winter months.
