Anyone have any experience with the Lee hand press for sizing bullets.

I use one all the time for jacketed bullets, smooth form. You will need something stronger for copper solids.

If you only plan on occasional shooting and maybe just for hunting, you can get by with the hand press............Personally, some type of bench press, would be a better plan. Lee makes some pretty cheap stuff that will work well for the casual shooter. leeprecision.com/reloading-presses/single-stage/Something like the Breechlock Challenger Press...........It has more mechanical advantage than the hand press or the breech lock press.

I use one for most all smooth forming. I don’t have the luxury of being able to set up a press near my shooting location at the range. If you have a way to set up a bench mounted press then by all means use one. If you don’t have the luxury of that I don’t think you will be unhappy with a hand press. I do agree with Richard but some people use less bullets in a year than Richard shoots in a day. At the end of the day you need to decide what style fits your needs the best.

I have had no issues with my lee hand press. I smooth form and would buy one again if I had to do it all over again.
