Well after changing out stupid designed factory valve cover, that has PCV Valve hole right over a rocker arm and lifter causing oil to be sucked into the cylinder heads, I replaced it with a new redesigned cover and after 409 miles so far , not a single bit of oil that I can tell has been used, if you have this issue I highly recommend this 150.00 fix, well with new pcv hose 180.00

Well after changing out stupid designed factory valve cover Glad to hear your oil consumption went down. Don't even get me started on stupid designed factory stuff from GMC...like their AFM in my 2013 5.3L Silverado...which is deactivated

When i bought my old 4.3 v6 the first thing i did is take it to the mechanic and have them upgrade the upper end gaskets with Felpro High Performance. They were notorious for leaking and the Felpro set is the only permanent fix for them. Cost me $1200 but hasnt leaked a drop of anything externally or internally. Motor is now basically a 300K+ engine if maintained.

1400 miles and no more oil usage, from simply changing out a redesigned valve cover

1400 miles and no more oil usage, from simply changing out a redesigned valve cover I almost hate to tell you this but a water seperator for compressor lines put into the pvc hose does the job alot easier . Whats bad that nobody thinks of is the oil coming out of those valve covers deposits carbon build up (alot !) On the backside of the intake valves . Its all throughout the intake and ports too . This just kills airflow into the cylinder destroying mileage and power . Oil is a detonant too so the computer pulls timing from the tune up as well . I add a pint of laquer thinner to my tank to keep them clean and breathing . Boosts octane too .

I also replaced the throttle body that was caked in carbon

Sorry ive been gone awhile from here . I add about a cup per 1/4 tank, i usually gas up at the half , in my Silverado and have done so for 16yrs now . It really makes a difference especially when towing !!! I prefer the kleen-strip brand of laquer thinner because of its blend of ingrediants seems to work best . Multiple burn rates for variable rpms . Seems to matter . Wouldnt do it if it didnt work !!! Its Always in my tank !!!
