See where Win has come out with new ball powder called 6.5 and I think it's intended for rifles of that caliber. Anybody try any yet? 10

Update: Got a pound of 6.5 STAball by Winchester at Greentop. Tried it with Nosler 120 partition and 130 Tipped Game Kings. Tried a spread of loadings over listed minimum and under max. Performance was on par with Varget, Rel 15 & 17, and Superformance for velocity and accuracy in the best performing loadings. Field outdoor temps at time of testing were upper 30s F. Gun, ammo and shooter cold! Elevation 60 feet above sea level. (it is eastern Virginia)
Best is that it is a ball powder and once set up it meters very well and there was no deviation when checking loads. Metered very consistently with no tapping or checking on the meter.
Yes, I will buy it again as it makes loading a lot of cases faster than with some of the stick type powders.
My experience and opinion. Others will differ. 10

Yesterday compared my favorite load in my savage 6.5 creedmoor of 45 grains H4350 and 123 eld. With 6.5 staball. H4350 load, both shot inside a 1 inch dot at 100 yds. The veloicty was a lot less than the H4350 load. Will try it in my 22/250 next.
