The ole Savage 10ml2 is having a banner season! Making up for last years one and done. Saw 9 antlerless tonight, was watching one when two snuck past me. I blew the chance at them. Then had a string of 6 coming right to me. I was sitting in a chair with a bipod overlooking a corner where we have been seeing them. They came up a trail, and at 25yds it was do or die. I crumpled #1 in its tracks, then the rest split. This is #3 this week, and #5 for the season. I got one tag left with mz, and one for xbow. Going Sun am where my buddy seen 19. Only killed one last year, so making up for it. I give away a bunch for Christmas presents and to family. We eat a lot too!

Keep stacking them up! Sounds like you're doing pretty well. Gotta enjoy the seasons that it all seems to go your way. There's too many of them that don't. LOL

On years like this, my wife starts to ask why I keep going or keep shooting. I said it all evens out between good and bad years. We keep the freezers stocked and canning jars full. We wont starve! |
