Well went and loaded a bunch for the 458 Socom and been scratching my head for the last month what I did wrong. Well when your gas block moves forward the gun just doesn’t operate correctly. Hopefully telling of my mistake saves someone some time.

Good tip, thanks. My hand guard screws came loose on my 450bm. Had a few erratic shots, so knew something was wrong. Quick check and back in business.

Been reloading over 30 years this is the first for AR. There seems to be a learning curve. Looking for different signs on brass and never had had to worry about a gas block or forearm coming loose. Sure do like playing with these AR’s thought. I thought the Contenders were versatile In there ability to change cartridges. The AR is a little more limited in choices but I like it a lot more. I am sure I’ll learn more and as I do I’ll share in hopes of helping others.
