Hi I am Wayne59 or just Wayne. I just ordered all the parts to day to build a smokeless powder muzzle loader. I probable went a bit overboard but oh well. Might as well jump in with both feet. Will possibly be seeking advice from some of the members along the way if it's not to much trouble. Thanks in advance and nice to meet you.

Welcome. I got on this wagon 10 months ago with a conversion. I should have just jumped in like you because I just picked up my big boy gun yesterday. A bunch of great guys on this board to answer your questions. Also learn how to use the search feature if you haven't already. There is a lot of archived information on here. If you ask about load info be sure to give details about your gun. My gun for example has a 28" brux #17 with a 6in shank and a LRMP module system.

Thank you for the welcome. The gun I am about to build will be built on a Remington 700 short action. The barrel is a Brux barrel ( I think ) with the with jeff Hankins ignition system cut to 26" Topped with a muzzle brake. The stock will be a Boyd's AT-ONE in coyote pattern. Probably be at least a couple of weeks before all the parts are in. Its hard waiting on these things. I have other projects to keep me occupied' I just acquired an original English sporting rifle in 65Cal to play with.

Welcome Wayne. Hopefully your build is going well the first one is cheap. It’s number 2-10 that get expensive.

Took it to the range today. Hornady 300gr and 60gr 4198. Stacked them one on top of the other. Slightly under 2500 fps. When the weather improves I will start working up an actual load. Need some pitman bullets.
