My boy and I got invited to go on a salmon charter. It was on the St Joe River out of Berrien Springs, MI. I have caught salmon and steelhead years ago, but have not gone in a long time, and never on a charter. The weather was tough, 30+ mph wind gusts and 50deg at the end. Thankfully it was on a heated and enclosed boat. The salmon are just starting to run, but steelhead are already in the river.
Little Luke is becoming quite the angler. Here he is with a 15# steelhead he landed all on his own. We had a great time despite tough conditions.
