Got my bird first thing opening morning for Indiana. My buddy roosted him for me, and I set up about 100yd away. He flew down to my decoys, got aggresive with the tom, turned a few times, then walked straight away. By the time I got the gun on the shooting stick, I had to kill him at 45yds. He dropped like a rock. He was 21#, 7/8" spurs, and had 10" beard.

Then he turned into this. I cut out the big block of breast meat, brined them, put on rub, brown sugar, drizzled some honey, then covered with bacon. Smoked with cherry wood, about 5-6hrs, until it hit 160deg. Talk about great tasting!

Telling us about what you did to that poor bird and not letting us try some.
