I am wandering what ones I should look closer at and if I should shy away from any. Thanks for any information.

Leica is great, very heavy. Vortex Fury, ok I guess, much lighter.

I have a set of 10 X 42 Leica, glass is clear and can range deer over 1000 yards. Went from carrying two things, down to one.

Optically Leica is probably as good as it gets be it binoculars, range finders or anything with their name on it, I've had their binoculars and range finder for years, top shelf!

+1 on the Leica. I don't own their binoculars. However I have owned their 1,200 yard rangefinder for probably every bit of ten years. As Hillbill stated, glass quality is excellent. And it has been a great rangefinder. I purchased it to replace a Leupold that I was not happy with. The Leupold went down the road to someone who can use it. I needed the ability to range out west for prarie dogs at 1k yards. The Leica performed, the Leupold did not (even though it was rated for that distance, I couldn't get a reading off my 4 wheeler at 700 yards.) That was 10 years ago, so Leupold may have better models available now. I won't likely find out though because it's Leica for me.

Just my own limited experience! We were in Wyoming 2 years ago shooting steel at extreme ranges that were manually measured out and leica and Swarovski range finding binos went head to head and consistently Leica was 25-40yrds off and swaovski was always within 5-15yrds of true range! That is just my limited experience! I believe they are both top of the line and with that said I have 2 handheld Leica range finders! If I was to spend the $ on rangefinding binos I would go with Swarovski! Good luck

So I am getting closer to getting a pair. Dose anyone have experience with the Vortex Fury? It will be used for hunting and I don’t think I’ll ever need to range anything much over 600 yards. I like the lifetime warranty on optics and electronics. The warranty and price are the two biggest reasons for looking strongly at Vortex.

Well after using the Vortex Furry binoculars for 2 years now I don’t know why that decision was not made earlier! I really like them.

Same here, I was able to take both vortex fury and the leica outside and range a road sign on the interstate before my purchase. Sign was 3400 yds, fury ranged it,leica did not. optical quality looked the same. Vortex warrenty covered electronics unlimited, leica not so. Brought THE FURY and love it. Leftyml

I am wandering what ones I should look closer at and if I should shy away from any. Thanks for any information. I use the Vortex Fury and they work flawlessly, even out past 1 mile if you every want to shoot ELR. Also, they will range through glass on a vehicle or side by side. I think they run around $1,500
