Here is a very sweet rifle I finished up a few weeks ago and sent to California. This is built on a Shehane stock, Brux barrel and a Stiller action., Chambered for the old but still one of the best varmint rounds ever. The 220 Swift. This rifle shot very good when I test fired it and the customer is reporting outstanding groups.

Now that is right down my alley. That looks very similar to our light guns we shoot here at our 1k club. Nobody uses the 220 swift for 1K but as a varmint rifle it hard to beat. I have my fathers 220 swift which was custom built in 1949 and it was state of the art back then and still looks good and shoots well even to this day.

That is Bill Shehane's African OBICHIE wood! Here is a picture of Bill Shehane I took at Hawks Ridge 1K range a few years back. You can see a display of his stocks in the back ground. That aluminum stocked rifle sitting next to him is his 1K heavy gun rig. He sells them also. My first record setting light gun was built on a Shehane Tracker fiberglass stock. Nice stuff but a bit pricey!

Bill used to come to our big World open matches years ago. The HG aluminum stock gun has a very unusual barrel bedding block system. I have never seen that used at our range it my have some merit but it seems to be self defeating having the barrel block out that far on the barrel. But you never now if it works till you try it.
Not Sure but I don't think Bill is in good health do you know. I know Bill Gebhardt isn't doing well.
