Scored this Indiana turkey on Saturday. Shot him at 26yd with my trusty old Rem870. Called him in with a box call my late father-in-law made and gave me. 19.5# 7/8" spurs 10 1/4" beard

Very good bird! They sure do eat well..
I have had a decent year so far in the turkey woods, called Sasquatch up 3 different birds on opening day after I killed a yote, he finally made a connection on #3, a 17.8 pounder, it wasn't a jake just a small bird. Two days later I called him up another, a 21.08 lb 3 yr old. I have killed 3, the biggest a 25.46 lb er with 1 3/8" spurs. good year so far, can't complain at all, God is good!

We are getting a decent population here now. This is my smallest by weight, but he had the biggest head and neck any of us ever seen. Lota of birds in the 25-26# range being killed here. Life is good!

Nice bird. The call has got to make it just a little more special.

Nice bird. The call has got to make it just a little more special. Yes sir! My wifes family is from eastern KY, up in the hills. Some in WV too. Totally backwards from todays life. I absolutely love it. Hunt, fish, garden, live life like it was meant to be. He was so basic, yet made so much sense. God, I miss him!!!

I might say todays life is backwards of what it should be. Sounds like a good man.
