Richard makes a point I didn't consider -- the possibility that lube might attract dirt. I've been barely getting the lube off with a towel. I'm gonna start using some degreasing substance.

I lube with imperial and degrease with brake cleaner. I'm going to give Royal case and die wax a try though after hunting season. I just did, what kyle does..

I looked at the castrol stick wax, the royal die wax, and that was to expensive, but when I read kyle's post, and seen him and jeff on their break open video using imperail wax,and seeing how easy jeff was resizing the bullets, i decided to use it, very reasonable price, so i went with that, and it works great!!

Resizing .451-2 bullets with a smooth die usually doesn't bind up the press ...its when you are full forming the .458's the lube needs to do its job and protect the die from galling IMO....

I haven't full formed yet, when I'm ready I'll send my bullet drop to jeff to make me one, But when I started with the smooth die with no lube, I was really on the handle and I felt it wasn't very good for the die,( better to be safe than sorry) and since using the imperail, It's very smooth with very little pressure..

I gotcha there...lube is necessary for any kind of sizing...adjustable bullet sizing dies are really making sabotless shooting a consistent reality......when in the past only a few were even trying it.....
