I got my first deer with my smokeless muzzleloader Saturday morning. Decided to go to a new stand that morning and around 9:15 I saw some does moving through a section on a grown up right of way. They was moving like they was being pushed so I grabbed my shooting stick and got my gun in position. Grabbed the rangefinder and got a quick range on one of the does. Next thing I see was this buck moving quickly across and the does was fleeing fast. I got him in the scope and quickly knew I wanted to shoot him but he didn't stop. Now I was sick that the opportunity got away. Then about 10 minutes later the does come busting back out into the grown up right of way and he came back out to give me an opportunity. I got steadied on the bogpod and sent the 300grain aeromax on its way. The recoil of the gun knocked me off seeing what happened. All I saw was deer bouncing back into the woods. The buck was in a grown up area so I couldnt see him laying there so I started doubting my shot. I sat there about 15 minutes before deciding to climb down. When I got to where he was at I found a dead deer. The 300 grain aeromax hammered him at 280yards and he never made it another step. Shot him square in the shoulder and the damage internally was bad. I'm hooked now with this smokeless and my rifles will not make it out of the safe this weekend for our opening rifle season. ![]()

Awesome! We're all hooked too. I have 2 of the X50's and one of the X44's like yours. They are good scopes for hunting.
