This was my first Challenge and actually the first time that I have ever fired a smokeless MZL. I would describe the experience as awesome. I felt very welcome (even though I'm a Northerner!). Everyone was very willing to answer my questions and offer suggestions. I soaked up the education like a sponge. Great group. I know there is a lot of work to put something like this together and it is greatly appreciated. Thanks to Kyle for letting me borrow your rest and Bill for the good conversation. Hope to make it back again. Looking forward to putting more back straps in the freezer with the new gun.

You fit right in among us southern boys! The deer better be hiding behind trees in your neck of the woods. Everyone enjoyed your company and yes the back straps on the grill were great! Don't be a stranger, we will be back at the Kentucky Challenge every Spring and Fall.

That's another plus on those bacon wrapped back straps! I thought I was eating prime beef? Nice to have another JOYSEY guy there! Lots of fond memories of New Jersey having lived there from 43' to 2000 but found the south more to my liking as I got older. BTW..............I want to thank Hillbill for his generous gift on N-120 he bestowed upon me! And Doug136 for giving me some bullets to try. And also everyone who helped to make this event the success that is was!

You hit the nail on the head, great group of people, extremely helpful and welcoming. Glad you enjoyed shooting your new gun. Good luck in the woods this year, however based on the way your were shooting your new Hankins rig I think it's the deer that need the luck. Stay well.

Thanks for all the "Welcome" posts. Much appreciated. I guess now the pressure is on for me to fill all my doe tags and bring more Back Straps next time around. A task I will gladly pursue. I brought my targets to work and keep starring at them. Jeff H is a genius!

Truthfully it was just another typical Kentucky Challenge. You know the kind?Where new friends are made? And old friends re-unite? Delicious meals are made and shared together. Stories are told. Help and information are graciously shared. And Botherhood is solidified. And EVERYONE is more than welcomed by everyone there. Oh I almost forgot...And we shot guns...LOTS of guns. Always a blast Droptine

No videos this time around. I brought the camera but got busy with other things and forgot to get it out. Maybe next time.

You would have to get there on Wednesday.😀😀 I wouldn't be under Russell's blue shelter. Seriously I'd love to show up. Little if anything do I enjoy more that a road trip and a camping trip. Competing is not at the fore front of my agenda or show casing any one convention, just hanging with the guys and shooting some guns. Maybe this spring if finances cooperate. Actually that spot with the red Toyota looks even better...
