Kyle can shoot under pressure.........can you? ? Here is a response I sent to Hillbill and thought I might share it here: As you know Bill, measuring targets can be very subjective. Russell's group might have been smaller depending on who measured and with what device. When a record group, as the 1K group I shot a few y ears back, is fired. It is scored by the club hosting the match. It is then signed by the three match judges (at every match, three random judges are picked for that match to settle discrepancies) and sent to the scoring committee for IBS or NBRSA or whatever the sanctioning body is. They in turn have a committee and three members are given the target to be individually scored. In my case, our club scored the target as 1.561".............When the target came back from the committee in Pa., they gave it three separate measurements that when added together and divided by "3" came to 1.564". Each of the "measurers" has to give his reading and sign it. So who knows if mine was smaller than Russell's......fact is, they were both "wallet groups!" and we are both proud/lucky to shoot them. Just thought you might be interested in the how a record target gets its final official score.

I like it!!! In all seriousness I hope that everyone shoots the best groups of their lives at the next Kentucky Challenge. I've got lucky a couple of times, and luck runs out sooner or later. Drop that gun is a shooter and you are too!! I've got a feeling that when schunter gets his gun together it's going to be at the top of the scoresheet in Kentucky too! Good luck in your hunting season everyone!! Be careful out there.

The way I shoot under pressure is not to care about shooting a tight group, just to have fun while I'm there. If I can't have fun doing something I should be enjoying, then why do it at all? I'm more worried about what the menu is at the next shoot. Speaking of which, I vote for the spaghetti dish again. Good shooting and hunting to all!!
