Richard, did you use devcon to glue the additional pieces of wood to the stock? I have a Richards micro fit that the inletting basically sucked on. I have rebuilt the stock by adding wood to the forearm above and below the barrel channel. I used birch plywood and gorilla glue
When I got the stock the inletting was too deep, so if I would have bedded it the barreled action would have gotten stuck. I used my jointer and took some material off the top of the stock. Once I got it down to where I needed it, the last few inches of the barrel was sitting higher than the top of the stock. It looked pretty silly. I was planning on painting anyways, so hopefully it will be ready by the next KY shoot.

Sort of...............but I used my bedding material, Marine-Tex. Don't get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with Devcon or Marine-Tex. It is just convenient to order the Marine-Tex from Bruno Shooter Supply (who I have dealt with the past 20 years). Since he is a big dealer with the bench rest crowd it appears to be a product that they favor.
