No, but I thought I would bring it and set it up under your tent Russ! Then we can see how well a wobbly rest can hit those "steel's" at 440 yards!

Richard you are welcome to set up under my tent anytine you would like. I even bought a little larger one just for that. We will have a blast...literally. Russell

Russell would have to hire a mule team to get it from the truck to the bench or maybe Jeff's tractor and a choker. That would bring stability to a new level!

Can one of these be used if set up on a designated bench........ Absolutely, as long as it is loaded from the muzzle and we would have to add a "RAIL GUN" class to the mix. That might be my next build, I have always liked rail guns, not so much the gun itself but the mechanical platform it is built on is some amazing work....

Not in return to battery or rail guns. The .30 has gotten very popular in short range bench rest score matches ---most are using the BR case necked up to .30 cal. and shooting bullets in and around 110 gr. in a 1 - 17 or 18 twist barrel with 4198 powder. Very accurate and the main reason is it creates a BIG footprint as compared to a 6mm. The object to to hit the highest scoring ring. Both cartridges being equally as accurate, the .30 has the advantage as it might just touch the higher ring where the 6mm will not?

funny stuff guys! out of the Core 4 I know hankins & I both operated archery pro shops. bill & kyle also shot very competitively.
yes 30br in that game is much like 2613's which in the day we called "linecutters!"
I averaged 295 in archery leagues with a 88lb hunting bow w/ 2315's x7 shafts in my macho days//later to target bows around 45lbs archery indoors avg 300's usually around 54x but that got boring & I started exploring long range archery to extend my yardage to keep in the vital zones of wapiti!
boy I still open old cabinets & see a old wooden serving tool with old stanislawski's laying in the drawer.
I still hunt with aluminum today & boy you otta see the looks on some faces when I special ordered some more X7's a few yrs ago!
kyle- you could have upped that powder on those 2317's a little!
