Finally got a chance to shoot these new 105gr Nosler RDF bullets Out of 6mm Dasher with a .266nk and a .155 fb. This gun has a Xcaliber 1-8 twist and it has been a very good barrel.. Todays results are encouraging using my standard load of Varget powder and seating these new 105gr into the lands as a starting point I shot a 3.5" 5 shot group this morning at 1,000 yards conditions were near mint no wind just mirage which can be tricky to deal with. So I plan on testing them again and see if they are able to repeat this kind of accuracy. The bullets really check out great you still need to sort them but most are dead on. In the past the Nosler match bullets have not lived up to our expectations Bullet makers are under a lot of competition to improve their products its all about sales and reputation.

Elkman....I've been wondering how those RDF bullets perform. Looking forward to any updates you may want to share. I'm currently working on load development for the Honardy ELD-X bullets. Do you have any comments on the comparison between the RDF vs. ELD-X bullets?

I can tell you that one of the top 600 yard shooters in the country, Sam Hall (you can google him) had been give 500 in 6mm. by Hornady to test and he could not get them to shoot from his Dasher.

Ever barrel is different for sure. In my part of the country nobody shoots Reloader 15 with 450 primers everyone has tried and always went back to Varget. In other parts of the country guys shot really well with RL 15 and H4895 in the various BR cases. Just because Sam Hall couldn't get them to work doesn't mean there not a good bullet. It is just like shooting the most expensive Eley match ammo in a match grade 22LR it my not shoot in certain barrels.
The RDF is a good bullet but it my not work in every barrel that would be a very tall order.

You are 100% correct Carl however........................I think we tend to look at good shooters to see what works for them. If they are getting good results with a bullet/powder/case/primer.......whatever, I think we are more apt to give it at try ourselves? I am going to shoot the RDF's in the up coming match on Saturday. My very first three shots with them at 100 yards produced a .151" three shot group (with Varget) My 300 yard results showed a lot of promise. Mirage mid morning was getting really bad and I was loading my cases strictly from my Harrell's measure which means one to two tenths variation in powder charges. I played with seating depth and found that .010" into the lands appeared better than .015" in, .000 and .010" off. Velocity in the 2950 fps range from the 6mm BRX case.
