Well I am on my second box of these new 110gr bullets they check out very good. I am using a 6mm Dasher with a 29" 1-7 twist X-Caliber 5R barrel that was also frozen . The gun shoots bug holes at 100 yards with Varget and it didn't shoot bad at 1,000 yards in the poor conditions we have had to deal with so far. I was able to run the 110gr at 2960fps but that was maxed out with Varget so I needed to go to a slower powder to get away from the pressure problems.
I had shot RL17 in the past with good success with 108gr bullets so that was the first powder I went with. You can get 37grs of RL17 into a Dasher case with out a drop tube and 37grs is just below the neck of the case without taping on the case to settle the powder. I check velocity to see how much powder I needed to get to 3,000 fps. I was a little surprised that 35.0grs gave me 2950 and I shot all the way up to 37 in .2th increments 37grs gave 3150fps and no pressure.
Yesterday afternoon we got to test these loads at 1K. 35.6grs with the bullet seated .010 into the land shot 5 shots into 1 1/2" also 36.4grs shot 2 1/2" all other groups were good till I hit 36.8 and 37grs I had one bullet in each group drop out of the group by 6" Next step is to see if 35.6grs and 36.4grs repeats in better conditions.
The BC is said to be .617 I believe I actually is much higher when you get near 3080 to 3150 I also think this new bullet can be hard to tune it has a very narrow window it likes when it comes to seating depth because the nose of this bullet is really long and thin if there is a flaw in this bullet jacket it will show up real quick when you spin these at over 300,000 rpm from a 1-7 twist barrel.. Same goes for the new 7mm high B.C. bullets

WOW, 5 shots into 1-1/2" at 1000yds, that's getting very close to the light gun IBS 1000yd record. I know a lot of guys are trying them in their PRS/Tactical guns. The new 115 DTAC are a big hit with the guys I shoot long range with also.

It was really nice to see the gun group that small but since we only shoot 10 shots for our groups and it wasn't shot in a match all I can say is I shot that small in practice. Trust me those tiny groups are not the normal size at 1,000 yards but on really good evening I do expect to see 10 shots under 5" our light gun record shot in Montana is 2.6" that is smaller than our heavy gun record or 2.8"
The quality of the 115DTAC has not been good enough for us the shoot consistently small groups. The verdict is still out on the 110gr SMK because it is so new. They do shoot flatter than all the other bullets I have tried as long as you can run them close to 3,000 fps.

Well, I just had to try these 110's in my 6mmBRX at a 600 yard match last Saturday. Since this was the last of three matches run by another club but held at Piedmont.............and I did not shoot the first two due to weather and my leg problem, I was not worrying about contending for anything so I shot them on my first two targets (you shoot two targets at one sitting with a 2 min. break in between) I had been hitting some of the small mini clays we use as sighters and thought I was good to go!.........Wrong! The bullet strung perfectly vertical. One target had five bullets on it 21" vertical with two that keyholed and three that made perfectly round holes. The second target only had three on with one of them keyholed. My nest two targets at the second sitting were shot with the 107 SML's. One group was 1.5" and the other 2.0". My barrel twist rate is 1 - 8.5" and the weather was 38 to 40* which also contributed to the instability of these bullets. They definitely need at least a 1 - 7.5". As Elkman indicated, they are a nice looking bullet but need to be spun faster to remain stable at 600 and beyond. They shot under 1" at 300 so that had me thinking that they might just work!

Richard shot the 110gr SMK last evening no luck you can get a decent 5 shot group but 10 don't hang together. I have gone through 200 bullets with only two tiny groups and maybe they were more luck than anything else so I parked that gun. My 300WSM shot really good again last evening with the new 208gr ELD match jumping .020 very repeatable. I will probably try some 107SMK and the 106 EAZOR in the 1-7 twist Dasher I know the 107SMK will shoot in most anything I don't about the 1-7 twist barrel. If not I will be using my 300 WSM

We had our first 1.000 yard match I shot my 300WSM did ok not great but there were 3 shooters how shot the new 110grs bullets with poor results they had the same problems I had you can't get the vertical out of the groups the buck the wind good but the vertical spread is a killer Sierra better go back to the drawing board on these bullets.

I talked with Mark out in Kentucky about the 110's. He shoots at Thunder Valley in Ohio and said a number of shooters were successfully shooting the 110's? Did not go into details!
