Well I ditched the cable and changed it out for a knob. It seems to be much better. I was unable to add an attachment under the last thread so here is a picture of it. I am right handed to I will move the knob to the left side.

Any problem in moving it to the left side. I'm right handed also. I just got a rest also but haven't even got it out of the box yet.

Jon, you may want to try it first before modifying yours. I didn't like the way the cable kind of lagged behind when I was making adjustments. It always seems to be that I moved it too far or just not far enough. The position was perfect for the adjustment knob, I really did like the location.
No the instruction say if you want to keep the front stock stop (not sure what it is actually called but the plastic rod that allows you to position you stock in the same position each time) that you have to drill and tap a hole. Basically you would be spinning the rest top 180 degrees so now the stock stop is on the wrong side of the top. If you were not going to use the stop, then i would say that is all you need to do. There is a nut on the bottom side of the top that you loosen and spin the top and then lock it back in place. I bought a 5/16" -24 2-1/2" bolt and cut the head off, I also shaped the front of the bolt to a point just as the factory did. I ran a 5/16" drill bill through the handle, and applied devcon, installed the handle, and tightened down the set screw. Seems to work pretty good.
