Didn't really need it because my Ruger 6.5C is a tack driver but when I handled this rifle and tried the trigger at my local gun shop I had to have it.

Would you please expand on your thoughts on this? If you don't mind could you please give give some answers to the following.
What are your thoughts on the stock? Is it the typical tupperware stock or does it have some actual rigidity?
What do you think of the action? If you have a 700 how does it compare?
How is the trigger?
Any additional thoughts would all be appreciated. Thanks.

The stock is a softouch and its rugged that's one thing I really like better than my Ruger Predator. The action is really smooth and quiet same with the safety. The trigger is real nice seems to be about 3.5 lbs with no creep or grit and its adjustable. Didn't shoot it yet still thinking about what glass to buy for it.

I appreciate that. For the features and what you get I think those rifles may be one of the better buys out there. If I remember correct they are 700 footprint. If the action is threaded american threads the gun would make for a nice donor action if you could find one used cheap.
Please let us know how it shoots.

My guess on the trigger pull yesterday was off but close, today I put an rcbs gauge on it and it broke clean every time at 3 lbs set from the factory. Bergara makes the action and it is based on the 700 but with a Sako style extractor in a better location also with a coned bolt head.

How has the Bergara held up over the last year? I have a big project coming down the river at work and if I do well i've been wanting to get a 6.5Creed as a reward to myself. I have also been wanting a right handed action with a left hand action port; does anyone have experience with a rifle in such a configuration?

Fitz, sorry i didn't get back to you sooner, I haven't been on the forum lately. The rifle is holding up well but to be honest after it proved itself I haven't shot it much, been shooting my bigbores. The gun is built very well so I don't expect problems with it in the future.
