Recently went to a church function on Wednesday night and met a guy who just started shooting F Class. This sparked my interest and I'd like to try it.
Right now I'd just like to attend with what I have and see if it's really something I'd like to get crazy with.
I currently own a Remington 700 243 SPS Varmint with a Nikon Prostaff XR 3.5-14x40 and a Boyds Pro Varmint Stock. I am in the process of getting the stock fitted to the action as soon as I get some pillars for it.
I believe my first course of action is to get a better scope. Keep in mind my budget isn't going to be great. I found a SWFA SS 3-15x42 Tactical Rifle Scope that has my interest and has a lot of good reviews. I'd say $700 is going to be my budget for this possible new hobby.
After that I think I'd focus on brass and bullets and work with that for the time being.
For now I'd just like to compete or just try it for fun. I realize people get crazy with rifles and optics but right now I'd just like to experience it for fun.
For those who got into this where did you start how'd you start? What things did you learn?
