Got some of the new Sierra 110gr SMK for my 6mm Dasher. I plan on putting a new 1-7 twist barrel on to shoot these long bullets 1.345 in AOL they check out really good time will tell how well they might shoot. My Dasher has a .266 NK and a .155 FB I thought that this new bullet would have to be seated pretty deep into the neck that is not the case. I have a new reamer with a .266 nK and a 135 FB this will work better but probably a .120 would be best. The bullets have a very long nose.
The Nosler RDF 105gr is longer than a 107 gr SMK the Nosler is 1.235 so they should work in a 1-8 twist probably a 1-7.5 would be a better choice they also check out really good for a production bullet. The new Hornady ELD bullet looks nice but from what I have heard from Richard they have not shot very well. Looks are not everything when it comes to accuracy.
I plan on loading up some test loads for my current Dasher and see if I can get the 110gr bullet up to 2960 to 2980 range that always seems to be the sweet spot for 1,000 yard accuracy. If the SMK shoots good at that velocity it should do extremely well with a BC of 617. I really won't know till spring time.
I also bought a box of the Nosler 6.5 140gr RDF bullets they look really good there .050 longer than a 142gr SMK boy if they shoot look out that will really be a good wind bucking bullet at 3,000 fps

I just did a comparison with the 105 Berger Hybrids / pointed to the 105 Nosler RDF and Hornady 108 ELD Match in my 6mm XC all with the same powder charge and same ogive to base length. At 1000yds out of my rifle the Bergers are 1 MOA flatter than the Noslers and 1-1/2 MOA flatter than the Hornady.

I can believe that if you pointed the Bergers. How did the Noslers group at 1K? The bullet I am really interested in is the 110gr SMK tomorrow I am testing my Dasher for velocity only since this barrel is a 1-8 twist accuracy would not be good. I have no trouble going over 3,000 fps with the 107SMK so the 110gr might work out real well. This 6mm Dasher has a 155FB and the 110 gr only goes half way down the neck so I didn't loose any volume.

The Noslers seemed to be hitting all in the same area. I think the Noslers will group fine at 1000 . I will probably shoot one of our local monthly long range shoots with them to see how they do.

I went out and did a quick test with my Dasher and the 110gr SMK I had no problems hitting 2980 fps they seem to build less pressure than some of my other bullets. I won't have my new barrel for a while yet so I won't know how good they might shoot till April.
