I say yes! Having a lighter bullet for some recoil sensitive youth's and beginning shooters is a plus.

Why the Accumax and not the Aeromax? Does the Accumax have a little more bearing surface ?

Why the Accumax and not the Aeromax? Does the Accumax have a little more bearing surface ? The Aeromax has approximately the same bearing surface per grain weight as the AccuMax. The Aeromax was designed around heavier instead of lighter weights. If a bullet gets to heavy in the nose / too light in the rear, it is prone to flight problems and accelerated destabilization. So there is a limit on how light a particular bullet design can go before problems occur, without making changes to the design. Just as it is important to offer well made bulets, responsibility falls on the shooter to select the proper bullet weight for their application and range. A 250 gr .45 is a shorter range projectile than a 325 grain in terms of bullet drop / BC. For some shooters a 250 could be all that is needed, others may choose heavier weights for extended range application.
