Jeff finished my 300 win mag today...... it turned out AMAZING. I expect nothing less from him but every time I am in awe. The Rifle is built on a stiller action, brux skip fluted barrel Cerekoted Tactical Grey, Manners EH-1 Stock w/hankins custom paint, Badger bottom metal, jewel trigger and topped with a Vortex 6-24x50 scope.

Very nice looking rig. Is that barrel and action blasted or coated? The 300 win mag is a good choice for short range shooting just kidding there usually easy to tune and they don't brake the bank when it comes to brass like some of the big cases. I just took a 30/378 barrel of a gun of mine I got tired of $4.00 brass that doesn't hold up very well when you push it. The 300 Ultra will do almost as good.
I will probably but a 338 barrel on this gun since I have about 1,000 300gr SMK bullets.
One draw back of having the mag box is seating the bullets out far enough. If you run Berger bullets they really shoot well jumping even up .120 off the lands we have a number of top shooters here at our 1K range that jump Berger 210 VLDS .100 you just have to see what works and don't waste a bunch of time shooting small groups at 100 yards because the rule of thumb is if you want to shot small at long distance you need to tune the load for that range. We only test at 1,000 yards what might shot really small at 100 yards and have a small ES doesn't shoot well as longer ranges.
So good luck with the new gun take the time to brake the barrel in and then keep the barrel clean from carbon especially in the throat area and you will do fine.
